Will it tarnish?
Yes, all sterling silver will tarnish over time however a polishing cloth will brighten it up again.
How do I slow tarnishing?
It is best practice to keep your sterling silver in cool, dark place, preferably in an air tight container or bag. Reducing the humidity and air to the item will greatly slow the natural oxidation process.
Anti-tarnish sheets can be placed in with the piece to absorb chemicals in the air.
Silica packs can be used to absorb moisture to help slow the process.
How do I clean the sterling silver?
A simple polishing cloth works well for routine maintenance however it can be difficult to get into grooves or links in chain.
Silver polishing solutions can be used on sterling silver, however we do not recommend them for our Roman Glass pieces as it may damage the glass.
